Meet Felicia, a prolific writer of our time!

Dr (Mrs) Felicia Okeke-Ibezim is a Nigerian-American writer and publisher. Felicia started writing at the age of 18, her first year in college and she has now become a creative and literary giant in her own right.
Felicia loves reading and writing. She had her Bachelor’s Degree in English Language. She has two Masters Degrees. One is in Guidance & Counseling and another one is in Educational Psychology from New York University. Felicia is type of woman who does not settle for less. In October 2004, she embarked on her doctorate degree program at Capella University, specializing in Educational Psychology. In March 2008, Felicia completed her doctoral degree program.
Dr (Mrs) Ibezim has taught for several years at various colleges in New York City as an Adjunct Professor. She has taught at Queens College, City College, Mercy College, College of New Rochelle and State University of New York (EOC), Bronx, New York. Felicia is now a City and State-licensed School Counselor with New York City Department of Education.
Felicia is a prolific writer who has published many works in different academic and literary areas. She also has many unpublished manuscripts (see the list pf published works and unpublished manuscripts). Felicia was married to late Dr Ike Ibezim, a college professor and they have four children. Felicia resides in New York City with her family.
Through the world of book, Dr Felicia Okeke-Ibezim has made it a life-long mission to educate and inform the readers and the general public. In a world of uncertainty, Felicia strongly believes that reading and education are the only certainty and key to leaving the line of poverty in which some of us find ourselves.
Felicia’s creative gift of writing has brought her recognition in the literary world. Simply typing in her name in Google search engine will display the various websites where her books could be found. Recently, Felicia’s latest production, Saddam Hussein: A Legendary Dictator became an award-winning Finalist in Current Affairs- Political/Social Science category of the National Indie Exellence 2007 Book Awards. Felicia is also an award-winning Finalist in the Children’s Picture Books: Paperback Fiction of the National Best Books 2007 Awards. The Children’s book is titled ABC Animals. In 1998, Felicia also received the National Poetry Award.
Dr Felicia Ibezim is a dynamic, courageous and optimistic trail-blazer who has defied the odds and the traditional expectations of women. Having written over 30 manuscripts and published 10 works, Felicia is gradually but steadily making her way toward literary limelight.
Felicia has been described variously as “Queen of the Detective Fiction”, “the Amazon of a woman” and “an African heroine of hard work and creativity”. She has utilized her knowledge of computer and the use of newest technology to give quality service and satisfaction to known and unknown writers.
Felicia is one of the few female African writers who are making their mark in the literary world. Her courage, grit, determination, spirit of independence and belief in her conviction about never giving up on her dreams, has inspired and empowered other women to pursue their dreams and make them come true. Felicia’s achievements have established her as one of the most dynamic, courageous and well-respected female writers of the 21st century.
