Guideline for Submitting Manuscript


Ekwike accepts most manuscripts provided the following guidelines are met:

1. Your manuscript must be neatly typewritten or computer printed, double spaced in capital and lower case letter.

2. It must be printed on 81/2 X 11 inches white paper and numbered serially. If you have used Microsoft word or one of the common word-processing programs for PC, you may submit your manuscript on 31/2 floppy disk, compact disk (CD), or Zip disk.

3. Submit a cover page that includes the title, your name and address. Attach a cover letter indicating what the manuscript is all about. Tell us the specific target audience, for example, children, juveniles, adults or general audience.

4. Submit a brief profile of yourself including your educational back ground, your current occupation and anything in your background that will help sell your book.

5. Send a photocopy of your original manuscript in printed form along with the disk to ensure we are publishing the right manuscript.

6. Send your manuscript by registered mail. Manuscripts sent by E mail will not be accepted.

7. The acknowledgment of the receipt of your manuscript will be sent to you within seven working days.

8. Your manuscripts will be reviewed within 1 3 months and you will receive a feedback regarding Ekwike's interest or lack of it.

9. When all conditions are met, Ekwike will send you two copies of publishing contract to be signed by you and returned to us within five working days.

10. The publication of your work will take between 4 9 months from the date the contract is returned to us.

Additionally, the following criteria for minimum length should be met:

Fiction & Non Fiction: Minimum of 30 double spaced typed pages Children's Books: Minimum of 15 pages including pictures and illustrations
Poetry: Minimum of 20 pages or 300 lines on the whole.
Short Story Collection: Minimum of 3 stories or total of 30 pages.

Note: We are flexible when it concerns academic textbooks.
